Design Tips:
- When selecting a paint color for a main room or hallway, choose a neutral. Neutrals don't distract from other spaces and are an easy transition.
- Color can be tricky and can look different in different spaces and during different times of the day. Once you decide on a color, first purchase a quart and paint a 2' x 2' square on one wall. Live with that for a few days before commiting to painting the entire room!
- Small color swatches seen on paint fans are deceptive. What looks like the perfect color usually ends up being much brighter once on your walls. Next time you find a color you like, choose the same color but two-three shades duller. This will ensure the perfect color once the room is complete.
